KEYSTONE EQUIPMENT LEASING, INC. does not solicit business from lease brokers. We will, however, consider funding or arranging for funding for transactions meeting the following criteria:

• Clean credit quality is a must. We may exercise some flexibility for our own vendors and direct lessees, but cannot devote that time to troubled credits from brokers.
  
• We must be comfortable with you. Keystone (and its bank if the transaction is being sold) will scrutinize you. We invite you to scrutinize us. Hey, let’s all scrutinize each other!

  Note: If a transaction does not interest us, we will often be able to recommend a bank or other source of funds that might consider it. (Our typical fee for that type of quick, hands-off referral is a one liter bottle of Absolut.)

• Fair Warning Number One: We will gladly work as formally (written referral agreement including mutual non-compete clause) or informally as you wish. However, it is incumbent upon YOU to let us know that you are presenting the transaction in the capacity of a broker at the very outset of any conversation.
  
• Fair Warning Number Two: If you are in this for a home run, we are not the place to call. We close more sales than the average bear, by quoting competitively. We will not over-inflate our pricing to create unrealistic commissions. Let’s provide a very good product at a very fair price, and move on to the next deal.  Greed sucks.

If you don’t belong to at least one of the major leasing associations, expect to be pitched to join up.  Learn your trade.  Mingle with the old-timers.  Network yourself to death. We are long-time members of the Eastern Association of Equipment Lessors (EAEL), and the National Association of Equipment Lease Brokers (NAELB). (Our President, Barry Reitman, served two terms on the Board of Directors of the EAEL, and is presently on an important committee of the NAELB.  He is a frequent panelist at association seminars.)   We take very seriously the Ethics Codes of both organizations.
